Singapore Flyer

At a height of 165m, Singapore Flyer is one of the world’s largest Giant Observation Wheel and also one of Asia’s biggest tourist attractions. Singapore Flyer was conceived and designed by Dr. Kisho Kurokawa and DP Architects, Singapore. It held its groundbreaking ceremony in September 2005 and was launched in 2008. It promises more than just a view, but a panorama that captures Marina Bay’s skyline with a glimpse of neighboring Malaysia and Indonesia.

FLYER 360+ is a multimedia in-capsule experience that elevates your flight experience with its rich content on Singapore history, culture and iconic landmarks. It is a bilingual English and Chinese multimedia interactive program that uses integrated digital solutions and interactive story-telling to offer a guided in-capsule tour on mounted digital screens and tablets, with commentary and information of the Singapore City skyline and places of interest. This will elevate the guests’ experience inside the capsule by adding more interactive and educational elements and will include fun facts about Singapore Flyer, a glimpse of Singapore in its past and present, as well as prominent festivals held at different places. Each capsule will have two mounted large screens and four interactive tablets.

The Flyer is an iconic part of the skyline and beautiful to look at day and night and the flight as you slowly rotate is fab. Amazing views out to sea, of the city and into the Bay Area. • By MRT, take from any MRT station and make your way down to the Promenade Station with the downtown line DT15 or Circle Line CC4. On arriving, take exit A and look out for blue pedestrian signs to the Singapore Flyer, which is merely five minutes away from the station.
